Week 33 will be full of reading, listening, and language activities.
These are important life-long skills to have and use - -
in & out of school.
- Monday: We'll finish our Killer Smog post-reading "questions" game, go over the story's advanced organizer, and have free-reading time.
- Tuesday: We'll start with free reading time and then complete a "listening comprehension" activity.
- Wednesday: We'll start with free reading time and then complete an activity using a variety of informational texts.
- Thursday: We'll start with free reading time and then complete an activity using reading comprehension strategies.
- Friday: We'll start with free reading time and then complete an activity using editing and language skills.
This week's Important Dates to remember:
- April 13: State History Contest's Documentary Uploads due by 10 PM
- April 15: i-Read #6 is due
- April 16: State History Day Contest
- Hillcrest Junior High = 126 E. 5300 S. Murray, UT
- 7:30-9:00: student check-in & exhibit set-up
- 9:00-3:00: Judging
- 3:30-4:30 Awards ceremony
- 4:45-5:30 Nationals Team Meeting

- Explanatory and Argumentative
- CFA resubmissions/retakes
- Super Hero Essay = CFA #5
- CFA #6 = Prompts, Keywords, ACES/OREO
Future Fun Activities you want to be eligible for:
- May 18th: Gecko Gold Day
- = to go you must have all passing grades (academic and effort) without any missing assignments.
- May 23 or 24: 7th Grade Party
- = to go you must have all passing grades (academic and effort), all fines paid, and all LRI materials returned.
